Capt. Tom Rowland grew up in Chattanooga, TN where he developed a love for fishing while spending time with his father. The hours they spent together established a firm foundation for the passion that Tom now has for all types of fishing. While working in Yellowstone National Park, Tom was able to backpack every area of the vast Park and fish the wild backcountry streams. This adventure lead him to a career in guiding originating in Jackson Hole, WY. Second generation outfitter, Joe Bressler helped Tom learn the guiding business giving Tom a huge head start in achieving the level of success that accompanies him today. After 7 seasons as a drift boat guide on the greatest Western Rivers, Tom was ready to begin his saltwater career. Beginning in Key West, Tom spent a year learning the water before he ever took a paying customer.

For the last 12 years, Tom has spent hours daily, perfecting his flycasting and teaching techniques. In Los Angeles, Tom recorded a 131 foot fly cast with a standard 5 weight fly line and 9 foot graphite fly rod. In 2000, Tom competed in the inaugural ESPN Great Outdoor Games in Lake Placid, NY and won two medals, a silver in the Flycasting division and a Gold in the Overall. Since 1997, Tom Rowland’s tournament record includes more than 65 championships, divisional wins or top 5 finishes in international, national, regional and local tournaments for a wide variety of species.

If his name or face is familiar, it may be because he has demonstrated at fishing shows around the country, published articles and photography in books and magazines and filmed more than 25 nationally televised fishing shows before creating Saltwater Experience.

Saltwater Experience is the culmination of Tom Rowland’s fishing goals by allowing others to see what captivates Tom to obsession.

Eric Adams is best known as the vocalist for heavy metal icons Manowar. Having sold more than eight million records worldwide, Manowar has toured the globe and created one of the most loyal fanbases on the planet. Adams' powerful voice is a big part of the success of the band as he is considered one of the top singers in the genre; having the ability to perform anything from blinding speed metal to opera pieces typically sung by the legendary Luciano Pavarotti.

Adams is also a lifelong hunter and fisherman who has pursued fish and game throughout the United States. He is a master bowhunter education instructor in the state of New York and is often consulted on the issues of safety and hunter ethics by state wildlife officials.

"Doing a hunting DVD was the furthest thing from my mind until I met Chester. I must admit, I thought this would be easy. It proved to be not only difficult, but at the same time a true blast! We chased fish and game from the Gulf of Mexico to the Great Lakes-- and what a great time it was.

Every hunter knows that in the field, if something can go wrong, it will. We had our share of mishaps with the camera and tons of bloopers that we decided to show you at the end of this DVD. All in all, I had more laughs making this than I ever expected.

Back home, I was limited to hunting whitetail deer and turkeys. Chester opened up my eyes to a world of different species to hunt. I love having the element of danger ever-present, particularly when we hunted 400-pound-plus wild boar. Now THAT will remind you where all of your nerves are connected!

Writing and performing the music for this DVD was a blast for me. I sat in my studio and just started jamming on the guitar until I heard something that I thought was cool. It's a little different writing music to picture, but my hours in the studio with Manowar made the project flow without a hitch."

He started hunting and ran his own trapline at the age of 8 and has continued this passion to the present day.

His experience has two parts, a deep family tradition that traces back to his Great-Grandfather who was a hunter, trapper and lure maker and his own outdoor experiences over the last 25 years.

Alan was a Bio-Chemistry Fisheries Science major in college before embarking on a ten year professional baseball career (1992-2001) with the Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, and NY Mets. He is the owner/operator of Alan Probst, Inc.and www.alanprobst.com. His production company also produces the TV show Sportsmen's Outdoor Strategies as well as many other outdoor web sites. Alan also writes professionally for the Pennsylvania Outdoor Times on a monthly basis as well as periodic features for other publications such as Fur-Fish-Game and many other publications.

Considered one of the best outdoorsman by his peers, he now looks to educate the public and maintain an outdoors approach that will give outdoorsman a voice to be heard. He truly has the passion and relentless love for nature and strives to show all people the beauty of the wild outdoors through his TV show and videos.
