Kim Hicks
Executive Producer and host of the popular outdoor series, Hunting 201: Beyond The Basics, Kim Hicks is seen by millions of sportsmen on television each fall as he travels the world in search of new and exotic hunting adventures! From the Alaskan tundra to the plains of Mozambique, he has tasted both the challenge and the reward of pursuing dangerous game in difficult conditions. Throughout the years, Kim has been a professional guide as well as a guest host on other hunting shows such as Cabela’s Sportsman’s Quest, Bass Pro Shops’ Outdoor World, Realtree Outdoors, and OLN’s Samurai Sportsman.
Kim has also seen success as publisher of The Hunting Magazine (thm), which was a nationally recognized publication with subscribers worldwide, and the Texas Hunting Directory providing sportsmen with details on hunting operations across Texas for over 15 years. In the magazine publishing business, Kim produced numerous award-winning issues and earned a reputation as an outdoor writer who brought not only useful product knowledge, but also true hunting adventure to the written page.
Kim has also served as a consultant helping educate commercial operations on sound management practices and ethical hunting. He has conducted seminars at national corporate conventions and produced a successful, annual outdoor event for over six years called Opening Day, which brought sportsmen together from all over the Southwest.
Growing up in the small, South Texas town of Uvalde, Kim and his three brothers learned to shoot and hunt from their father, a career Army veteran. With over 30 years in the field and counting, Kim continues to show respect and passion for his lifelong loves - hunting and the great outdoors! Simply put, you have to watch these videos!
