Scott Martin Challenge About the Show

Fishing is in Scott’s blood. He grew up fishing Lake Okeechobee, one of the nation’s premiere big bass lakes. Spending time on the lake and honing his skills at catching bass fueled his passion for fishing, also it didn’t hurt that his father is fishing legend Roland Martin.

Fishing professionally for ten years Scott has won over a half million dollars and finished in the top 50 in every year but one since 1999. After winning the 1999 FLW Co-Angler of the Year title, Scott quickly made a name for himself as a pro angler. Up to this point in his professional career, Scott has won two FLW tour tournaments, 2004 Forrest Wood Open and 2001 FLW Pascagoula River Event. Scott has established himself as one of the best professional anglers in the world, a fact that was solidified with a second place finish in the 2004 FLW Championship on Logan Martin Lake.

Scott is one of the most versatile anglers on Tour but hailing from Lake Okeechobee and fishing the Kissimmee chain of lakes provides Scott with the opportunity to really fine tune his skills with the flippin stick to land the big bass. Scott also has risen to the top of fishing’s new generation by taking advantage of the latest technology. No one uses his electronics better to find and catch fish.

Scott lives in Clewiston, Florida with his wife and three children. In between tournaments he’s running two marinas on Lake Okeechobee including the world famous Roland and Maryann Martin’s Marina.
