Chip dropped in his dad’s lap in 1957and has been an avid outdoorsman for 50 years. Rick dropped in his dad’s lap in 1952. Fishing, hunting and all things nature are the ir continuous passion.
Hart’s professional career began in 1977 as an associate manager in the family business, a trade show production company specializing in consumer shows involving travel, boating, fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Currently, Hart is CEO of Hart Productions, Inc. In 1983, Ray Scott, President of the Bass Anglers Sportsmen Society, asked Hart to produce the first major outdoor show to be tied to the BASSMASTERS Classic scheduled for the Ohio River in August of 1985.
Comb’s career began in the 1970s with a stint as an Instructor of English at Miami University ( Ohio ). He began writing about the same time, and by 1989 was a full-time free-lance writer. Currently a columnist and field editor for Bowhunting World, Combs has authored books on canoeing, turkey hunting, and deer hunting, and has appeared as a guest on a variety of outdoors television programs.
Both Hart and Combs have been fortunate to be able to meet and create lifelong contacts in the professional fishing, hunting and outdoors industries. Communicating and providing the excitement of the outdoors to o the rs became a passion for both, particularly encouraging today’s youth to appreciate the outdoors.
Hart created The Big Outdoors® radio show in January of 1995 and Combs joined the program in 1997. They communicate fishing, hunting, destination travel, conservation and outdoor legislation.
