Two Killed in Boating Accident
(Northeast Florida Wildlife Commission)- Two Perry, Florida residents were killed Thursday evening in a personal watercraft accident in Crawfordville.

Zoe Stoyer, 46, and Sarah Elise Pomeroy, 14, were being towed on a raft behind a personal watercraft operated by Susan Wells, 55, also of Perry, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) officials.

Stoyer and Pomeroy were being pulled back toward land when they hit a dock. Stoyer apparently also hit a cypress tree next to the dock, FWC officials said.

The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office notified FWC of the accident, and emergency medical services personnel also responded. EMS pronounced both victims dead at the scene. Stoyer and Pomeroy were taken to the medical examiner's office in Tallahassee to determine the cause of death.

Both Stoyer and Pomeroy were wearing life jackets.

FWC investigators are continuing the investigation into the cause of the accident.
