Outdoor Channel Hooks Viewers With Fishing Shows |

TV, announced today six key shows in its fishing lineup: Ultimate Match
Fishing, Ultimate Match Fishing - College Edition, Western Sportfishing
with Lee Horsley, Offshore Adventures, Outfitters Almanac and Ultimate
Outdoors. All new programming is slated to kick off in 2007 and 2008.

The six fishing shows offer a range of differing interests like fishing
adventures out at sea, personal stories from world-traveling outfitters
and guides, and exciting head-to-head angler competitions.
Both Ultimate Match Fishing and Ultimate Fishing - College Edition are
returning. Ultimate Match Fishing, a Telly Award-winning program,
matches six of the top professional anglers from the BASS Elite Series
field against six of the top anglers from the FLW Tour. In a
groundbreaking departure from other tournament-style programming, this
competition features pros like Luke Clausen and Boyd Duckett fishing
head to head from the same boat. Ultimate Match Fishing - College
Edition promises to excite a new generation of fans with its unique
head-to-head format. Featuring the top collegiate anglers from 12
Division I universities, some of the schools competing include Alabama,
Oklahoma, Kentucky and Penn State.
Western Sportfishing, hosted by Lee Horsley, covers the exciting world
of sportfishing like never before. Although Lee Horsley first gained
national notoriety by playing the leading role on Matt Houston, he has
been a lifelong outdoor enthusiast and advocate for fishing. Combining
his on-screen abilities and personal passion for the outdoors, Lee
travels up and down the coast of California and Oregon, teaming up with
many local captains on his fishing adventures. In addition to the
exciting footage from their sportfishing trips, Lee and his guests pass
along plenty of information for viewers who would want to take their
own fishing adventure out west.
Part fishing show and part travelogue, Offshore Adventures provides
viewers with an exciting look at the worldwide sport of fishing.
Chronicling the exciting lives of four courageous friends who left the
comforts of life on land, hosts Chris and Melissa Fischer set out with
their crew to explore life at sea. Traveling to saltwater destinations
near and far, this crew embarks on many fishing adventures throughout
the diverse marine world, discovering new species and cultural
traditions with each exciting episode.
Outfitters Almanac is dedicated to the many outfitters and guides who
work all over the country to provide countless outdoor adventures for
their clients and take quite a few of their own as well. With a new
outfitter telling their story each week, viewers can start to
understand the passion that these professionals have for their jobs and
the outfitters can share their favorite stories with viewers from all
over the country.
Ultimate Outdoors is a show for the well-rounded outdoor enthusiast.
Hosted by the multi-talented Wayne Pearson, Ultimate Outdoors uses a
magazine format to include fishing, hunting and clips of general
outdoor recreation in each episode. Wayne doesn't just limit the show
to his own region. Instead, he travels all over the world to find new
adventures and target new species.
