| OSHA Grants 60-day Extension |
|
(The Outdoor Wire)- Responding to firearms industry officials, the NRA-ILA and individuals
who have made their feelings known regarding the Occupational Safety
and Health Administration's (OSHA) proposed regulations concerning
proposed explosives regulations, OSHA has decided to grant a 60-day
extension in which to submit additional comments on the proposed
legislation. From The Shooting and Outdoor Wires to the Rush Limbaugh
Show, the proposal has been discussed and roundly criticized as posing
a serious threat to the firearms industry. The new deadline for
submitting comments is September 10, and while industry groups and the
NRA-ILA are reviewing the regulations, industry individuals are
encouraged to submit their comments on the proposed regulations as
well. If you want to write your own comments, use the following
reference lines: RE: Docket No. OSHA-2007-0032 Comment on Department of Labor/OSHA Proposed Rule "Significant Regulatory Action" as Defined in Executive Order 12866 You may fax your letter to: 202-693-1648 (include the docket number and Department of Labor/OSHA on the cover sheet and in the reference section of your letter).
