NCBFC Registration Underway

(Fox Sports News)- Fox College Sports (FCS) is pleased to annouce that the 2nd Annual Boat US National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship's (NCBFC) Registration is underway! The NCBFC will take place September 24th - 29th on Lake Lewisville, TX, just outside Dallas.

100 teams from 50 schools will be represented at the event, from the Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-10 and SEC. The tournament will be televised on Fox College Sports beginning January, 2008 and will air a 30-minute show each week through June 2008. At the tournament, teams are expected to fish for almost 30 hours over three days.

The full field will fish during the first two days of the competition, and the five teams with the most weight accumulated on days one and two will advance to the finals on day three. All teams begin anew in the finals.

The top ten teams will share $35,000 in prize money which will be presented to each university fishing club! NC State took home 1st place last year and are looking to defend their title at this years event.
