LaBarbera Becomes SCI Marketing Director |
TUCSON, AZ - Mark LaBarbera of Minneapolis, Minnesota, has been
named Marketing Director for Safari Club International and Safari Club
International Foundation. In this role, LaBarbera will head all
marketing operations for the worldwide organizations, as well as assist
the groups in other operational matters.
For nearly two decades, LaBarbera has been an active professional
within both the shooting sports industry, as well as the
conservation/education community.
"We are all excited to have Mark join the SCI team, and we know his
rich background of experience will give a tremendous boost to SCI in
accomplishing our mission and goals," said SCI Executive Director John
Eichinger.
LaBarbera is the former senior vice president of the North American
Membership Group and one of the founders of Wildlife Forever and the
Outdoor Heritage Education Center.
Recruited into the public sector by the Commissioner, LaBarbera
most recently has served as the Communications Director and I&E
Chief for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
LaBarbera has served on the boards of directors of the National
Shooting Sports Foundation, Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation,
Wildlife Legislative Fund of America, American Sportfishing Association
and Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation. He is Past President
of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, President of the
Minnesota Outdoor Heritage Alliance, and has been a member of the
National Steering Committee for Becoming and Outdoors-Woman, and
Minnesota Environmental Education Advisory Board.
LaBarbera will relocate to the World Headquarters of SCI and SCIF in Tucson, Arizona.
