Iowa Man Drowned
OKOBOJI, IA (IDNR)– A Holstein man drowned Saturday evening after falling overboard from a boat on East Lake Okoboji.

Cody Schubert, 21, was not wearing a life jacket when he fell overboard shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday. The boat was being operated at idle speed in approximately 10-12 feet of water along the east shoreline at the time of the incident. There were five other passengers in the boat.

Brandon Osborne, 22, of North Mankato, Minn., was the operator of the boat and was charged with boating while intoxicated.

The incident remains under investigation.
