Kayak Fish Tales: After finishing college, Howard McKim moved from Texas to San Diego and quickly fell in love with the ocean. He did a lot of jetty and surf fishing in the beginning, but the desire to get further out on the water led to the purchase of his first kayak—and that kayak led to a whole new life! It wasn’t long before Howard made the big move up to Alaska, trading his ‘normal’ life to start a full time kayak fishing guiding business. Based in Ketchikan, Alaska, Howard runs Ketchikan Kayak Fishing, through which he shares the Alaskan kayak fishing experience and his passion for the sport.
