All Outdoors With Alan Probst

Born and raised in the Appalachian mountain range in Northern Pennsylvania, Alan has been enjoying the outdoors since he was seven years old. He started hunting and ran his own trapline at the age of eight and has continued this passion to the present day. His experience has two parts: a deep family tradition that traces back to his great-grandfather, who was a hunter, trapper and lure maker, and his own outdoor experiences over the last 25 years.

Alan was a Bio-Chemistry Fisheries Science major in college before embarking on a ten year professional baseball career (1992-2001) with the Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, and NY Mets. He is the owner/operator of Alan Probst, Inc. and www.alanprobst.com. His production company also produces the TV show Sportsmen's Outdoor Strategies as well as many other outdoor web sites. Alan also writes professionally for the Pennsylvania Outdoor Times on a monthly basis as well as periodic features for other publications such as Fur-Fish-Game.

Considered one of the best outdoorsmen by his peers, he now looks to educate the public and maintain an outdoors approach that will give outdoorsmen a voice to be heard. He truly has the passion and relentless love for nature and strives to show all people the beauty of the wild outdoors through his TV show and videos.
