Blacktip Shark are found in the coastal waters and estuaries where current and tidal breaks congregate them around bridges, piers and inlets. The first dorsal fin typically begins just over or slightly behind the insertion of the pectoral fins. The shark's coloration is generally grey, grey-brown or bluish grey on the upper body, with a white ventral surface.
