You've heard the saying about "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth." On the flip side, what about saying that goes something like "the whole story and nothing but the story."
This is good advice for photographers taking pictures of their hunting and fishing trips. Sure, the kill-and-catch shots are important, but so are the incidental shots that tell the whole story.
Tommy Thompson is a photojournalist from Florida who specializes in outdoor photography. He advises taking odd shots of an outing that express its real character.
"I think it's a lot of fun to document the entire day," he says. You get shots of kids fighting a fish, somebody up in a tree stand, and somebody in a duck blind. Show the dogs at work, all kinds of options like that, to capture the memories."
