Bobcat Calling

Bobcats are more cautious than any other predator and will take advantage of all available cover when approaching the caller. (However, you will occasionally have a bobcat come in on a dead run.) Bobcats are very curious and will watch the caller for up to several minutes.

feralcat1 Bobcats are very wary and there is little chance of calling back a bobcat that you missed. Always take a good look at anything off color or different from the last time you studied a particular area. Take special notice of any small white spots as most bobcats have white spots on their chests. You will call many bobcats that you will never know about, but practice will increase your percentage of cats called or killed. Bobcats like to work they're way to your call by stalking the sound in start and stop spurts of movement. They'll take advantage of all available cover during the stalk, and often appear seemingly out of nowhere right before your eyes. So a good cat caller inspects every single detail of the area while calling.
